I hired Ben to repair and stain my deck. He was very knowledgeable and he took the time to walk me through what needed to be done. I was very happy with his work. And now I am able to enjoy my outdoor space again. I would definitely use his service again.

I included a picture of the before deck. The 2 sets of stairs were coming apart. There was a lot of creaky loose and rotten boards - so Ben was very helpful and instrumental in implementing my plan to just redo the deck. Keeping the previous underpinning and pressure washing it making sure it was not rotten and then creating one set of stairs with 5 steps for a modern look -also put in a concrete area for steps to end on. He replaced the post from the ground to the house due to it was rotted. The rest we were able to use thereby being not only responsible with recycling what I had but also staying right at my budget. I included a few after photos and love the benching I requested he put in. Instead of that 2nd set of stairs I wanted benches for friends to sit and love that feature and he was glad to do put those in. They look really good- picture doesn’t do it justice. Ben is one who will check with you constantly before doing the next step. I wanted the railings on the inside and he texted me to ask about the railings to be sure - also he asks for you to look at various steps and just in general makes sure the project is going in the direction that makes sense and is what you had wanted. Of the folks I interviewed he was the most positive and communicative and caring and understood the challenge of trying to get something updated and safe to use within a reasonable cost. Would highly recommend Ben. With Raise Home and his employee helper Jordan who did a bunch of work also on the deck. Ben spent a day himself working on things to get it right. I do appreciate their diligence and timelines and happy with the experience.
